The Washington Post sees Xóchitl Gálvez as a solid contender for the 2024 presidential election

Xóchitl Gálvez could be the big surprise in the 2024 presidential elections according to the Washington Post

The National Palace intends that the results of the surveys have the value of absolute truth. The first to believe and replicate the results ad nauseam have been the media, gullible to the core, they ignore or prefer to ignore that the polling houses, any of them, have been co-opted in plain sight and without decorum by the same government. Hence they place the MORENA candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, as the favorite of the popular masses.

AMLO has managed to position the surveyocracy as an instrument of political validation, despite being an easily altered and deceptive instrument because the opinion of the majority cannot be assumed as truth.

Other media, clearly international and less superficially serious, such as the Washington Post, believe they have another reading on Mexico’s electoral processes.

An article in the Washington Post points out that the opposition candidate [PRI-PAN-PRD] has serious chances of winning the next elections and that the president himself, López Obrador, knows it; He points out that, otherwise, he would not be so worried about trying to discredit her at each National Conference and through his network of opinion leaders and MORENA members.

There is not a single day in which any of AMLO’s followers attacked Xóchitl Gálvez. Because? If Claudia Sheinbaum’s candidacy is so solid and has the support of the Mexican people, why worry about Gálvez?

Xóchitl Gálvez represents the reality of a different Mexico. Originally from a humble family, with indigenous roots, the opposition candidate exemplifies the president’s propaganda speech, when she says without understanding too much, “First the poor”, Xóchitl Gálvez could be an example of that. Not Claudia Sheinbaum.
