More than 730 older adults, between 60 and 64 years old, received their support from the Social Assistance Program, an event supervised by Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez, who reiterated that next year they will continue this type of actions that generate important benefits for the most vulnerable sectors of the municipality.

In total, there will be 1,270 older adults who will receive this economic support, for the sixth time, since this Monday morning it was the turn of those with surnames that begin with A to M, and tomorrow, Tuesday, it will be the turn of 540 whose surnames begin with M and end with Z.

As has happened since the first delivery, Mayor Edwin Bojórquez was in charge of supervising the delivery of this support and reiterated to the beneficiaries his commitment to continue supporting the people who need it most and who live in vulnerable situations, addition He made it clear that these supports are municipal.

He announced that due to the good response from the population, the call to re-register for the Social Assistance Program will soon be issued, and “we invite residents to be very attentive at the beginning of January, which is when it will be released.”

He highlighted that as never before, they are supporting an important group for the families of Kanasín, such as the elderly, because not only are they being given resources but they also now have an adequate space to be cared for, such as the Senior Citizens’ House.

“Today Kanasín has decent parks, with internet, and soon two more houses for the Elderly will be built, one in the north and another in the south,” he added.

Mayor Edwin Bojórquez highlighted the importance of the Social Assistance Program being carried out with its own resources, this as a result of the good management of public resources in the Kanasín City Council.
