Paramedics help a homeless man in Mérida; he was in a pool of blood

A homeless person was helped by paramedics after being found bleeding on the street. Several witnesses notified the authorities after seeing the man lying on 61st Street between 58 and 56 in the center of Mérida. There was a pool of blood next to him.

Immediately, municipal officers arrived at the site to provide support. Paramedics then took him to the O’Horán Hospital.

According to the information provided by the agents, it was a homeless man who required dialysis, and when they helped him they realized that he had alcoholic breath.

According to some testimonies, when the man is under the influence of alcohol or other substances, the catheter used for his treatment comes off and this causes bleeding, as happened on this occasion. As it was said, every time he takes it off, he starts hitting his stomach, which makes everything worse. Once again he was lucky, because thanks to the quick response of the agents, the man was taken to the hospital and further damage to his health was avoided.
