The chords and voices of girls, boys and adolescents from 29 municipalities recreated the melodies of different composers of traditional trova in the “Daniel Ayala Pérez” theater as part of the objective of Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal, to preserve the music that gives us identity.
Gelsy Aurora Monsreal Euan, a student of the Trova para Todos y Todos program taught in her native Hunucmá, pointed out that participating in this concert was something very significant because she likes music a lot, in addition to it being the first time she has performed on said stage and He highlighted the importance of promoting love for this genre in new generations.
“It seems incredible to me, it seems like a good idea that they are being taught Yucatecan trova from a young age, personally it makes me very happy, the music is very happy, both the songs about heartbreak and about love, it is a very beautiful style of music.” that anyone would like and it makes me very happy that they are inviting many people to be able to listen to us,” commented the 14-year-old student.
The head of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts (Sedeculta), Loreto Villanueva Trujillo, thanked mayors, teachers, cultural directors, mothers, and fathers for committing to the program and expressed her excitement for the work of the new troubadours and singers.
