The cold front could cause light rain and scattered drizzle in some areas of Yucatán, Campeche, and Quintana Roo.
Weather forecasts indicate that Tuesday, Dec. 5, will be a fairly warm day, but with possible drizzles during the afternoon. The winds will predominate from the east and northeast, while maximum temperatures will range between 29°C and 31°C in Mérida, 26°C and 28°C on the coast, and 30°C and 32°C in the interior of the State.
While the minimum temperatures will reach 17°C and 19°C in the South, Southern Cone, Central Belt of Cenotes, and Henequenera Zone, therefore, in the interior of the State minimums of 21°C to 23°C are expected. and on the coast, from 23°C to 24°C.
Juan Vázquez Montalvo, meteorologist from the Institutional Committee for the Attention of Extreme Meteorological Phenomena (Ciafeme) of the Autonomous University of Yucatán (Uady), reported that the presence of the stationary cold front number 13, which is located in the northern part of the entity, influences this could cause light rains and scattered drizzles in some areas of the State today and tomorrow, with a decrease by Thursday, Dec. 7.
Cold front number 13, of weak intensity, is generating a slight cooling of maximum temperatures, while minimum temperatures remain stable. These conditions are expected to persist until tomorrow and as of Friday, Dec. 8, the heat is expected to make a comeback for the weekend.
