The child was transferred to the IMSS Hospital at 510 for a more detailed medical evaluation.

In a rapid response from emergency services in Cancun, a baby was successfully rescued from a burned apartment in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision , Region 259 .

Quintana Roo Police officers, on routine patrol, were alerted to the fire, which had already consumed a large part of the house on the second floor.

Two units of the Heroic Fire Department, deployed promptly, controlled the flames, preventing them from spreading to other units in the densely populated area known as ‘the favelas’.

The baby, whose exact location in the burned house is still unknown, received medical attention from paramedics and was transferred to the IMSS Hospital on 510 for a more detailed evaluation.

In a statement, the authorities reported that the girl is out of danger and her health is stable.

“A few moments ago, a report of a fire was received on SM 259 in the municipality of Benito Juárez through the emergency number 911, which was attended to by Firefighters with support from Civil Protection. So far, no injuries have been reported, only people with a nervous breakdown,” reported the Quintana Roo State Coordination of Civil Protection.
