MÉRIDA, Yuc., December 13, 2023.- “Governor Mauricio Vila is going to inaugurate an electric transportation system and we are going to accompany him,” said the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, during the traditional ‘mañanera’.

AMLO assured that next Friday, December 15, will be the day he will arrive in Yucatán to accompany the Governor to inaugurate the IE-Tram project, the new 100” electric transportation system and the only one of its kind in Latin America that continues to advance and will put Yucatán as a pioneer state in sustainable and efficient mobility.

Likewise, the President mentioned that this work is carried out by the State Government and indicated that he will also be in the state of Campeche as part of his work tour next weekend.

It is worth remembering that the Ie-tram, the new route of the Va y Ven transportation system, 100% electric, unique in the southeast, in addition to linking Mérida, Kanasín, Umán and 137 neighborhoods, will benefit 136 thousand people directly , nearly 200 thousand indirectly, more than 3 thousand economic units and 20 thousand workers, in addition, it will be a complementary means of transportation to the Mayan Train stations.

With this project, mobility is given a boost with a decent means of transportation, at the level of what people deserve and that will mark the future in Yucatán.
