Several people were injured on Wednesday, November 15th, after a strong collision between a compact car and a passenger van, which occurred at the dangerous Conkal intersection.

After the accident, there were at least 10 people injured, including 6 seriously (one crushed), in addition to thousands of pesos in damage.

What happened is that the driver of a Tucson truck with plates DMF519B from the state of Chiapas, at kilometer 4, missed a stop sign and hit a public transportation van on the Tizimín route, which was headed to Mérida.

According to what was revealed on the site, the driver of the Tucson was traveling on the highway leaving the capital, when she took the detour to enter Conkal, but when crossing the median she did not respect the stop sign, she was left in the middle of the road and blocked it. the passage to the collective taxi, which after the collision overturned, while the car went into the central ditch.

Several ambulances arrived at the site, as well as state and municipal police.

Among the people who were injured and taken to different hospitals was the minivan operator, who was trapped between the iron bars of his unit and had to be rescued by firefighters and municipal police agents.
