If you are a panucho lover, there is good news for you, since on Friday, November 24, the Panucho Fair will be held, as part of the La Noche Blanca event in Mérida.

As in last year’s edition, more than 30 stands are expected to participate, offering the traditional Yucatecan dish, with approximate prices of between 15 pesos each.

The traditional panuchos of chicken, turkey, boiled egg, and even queso de pelota, “relleno negro”, and cochinita pibil are expected to be offered.

Panuchos are a typical dish from the Yucatan Peninsula that consists of a corn tortilla with a cut in the edge where it is filled with beans.

This tortilla is fried in oil or butter and then some meat is placed on top, which is usually chicken or turkey.

The appointment for this event is this Saturday, November 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Barrio Mágico de la Ermita, in the Center of Mérida. Also, as part of this event, there will be Mayan board games, Tales and legends of Yucatán, and the presentation of several musical groups.
