Micromer: 20 years as an excellent option for micro or small businesses seeking to improve their profits

20 years after it was launched, the City Council has consolidated the Micromer program as an excellent option for micro or small businesses seeking to improve their profits, by placing 3,047 credits in two decades with an amount of 80 million 505 thousand 599.12 pesos, stated the Mayor Alejandro Ruz Castro.

“As the government closest to the people, we are the first option for citizens who seek support to continue boosting our economy with their respective businesses, which in 20 years have created 6,185 jobs,” he expressed.

He assured that as part of this impulse that the municipal government provides to microentrepreneurs, not only are business projects launched but also many of them become success stories.

As part of these success stories of the Micromer program, the Mayor visited the company Bio Products Corps C. A de CV, which since 2015 to date has received four credits for its compliance with payments, the last being for 100 thousand pesos.

Accompanied by the director of Economic Development and Tourism, José Luis Martínez Semerena, the Municipal President took a tour of the company’s facilities, where he confirmed the growth achieved in the last eight years, thanks to the support of the Micromer program.

The owner of Bio Products Corps SA de CV and beneficiary of Micromer, Norma Aguilar y Aguilar, thanked the Mayor for the credits granted, since thanks to them she has managed to acquire essential raw materials for her products, which are aimed at three areas: care personal, environmental care and veterinary use.

“This company emerged 24 years ago when I lost my job and since then it has been growing, little by little, not only in the size of the facilities but also in the demand for the products. We currently have important hotel chains such as Palace Resort and El Dorado as clients,” he indicated.

She highlighted that given the continuous demand for her products, new facilities are required, which is why she hopes to become a beneficiary of Macromer, a new municipal program that grants loans of 101 thousand to 350 thousand pesos to Micromer borrowers who have punctually fulfilled their salaries. .

In this regard, Ruz Castro pointed out that the City Council will continue to support companies such as Bio Products Corps SA de CV in their growth and economic development that generates jobs for more citizens.

Regarding the Macromer program, he reported that so far, the City Council has approved 17 credits for an amount of 4 million 216 thousand pesos to continue promoting the development of Merida companies.

For his part, Martínez Semerena recalled that through Micromer, the municipal government grants loans of up to 100 thousand pesos to consolidate itself as an ally of micro and small businesses.

He mentioned that among the business areas that have received this support are: pharmacies, doctors’ offices, pizzerias, ferrotlapalerías, grocery stores, party halls, stationery stores, restaurants, cafes, mechanical workshops, upholstery shops, bakeries, beauty salons, among others. Micromer credits are used for furniture and equipment, supplies and physical installations.

Finally, he said that the interest rate that will be applied to the credit support granted by this program is 7% as part of the municipality’s efforts to support economic reactivation.
