Mexican Army secures weapons and ammo on the Mérida-Campeche

The Mexican Army through the 32nd Command. Military Zone, reported on an operation carried out a few days ago on the Mérida-Campeche highway section.

During a search of a passenger bus from the State of Mexico bound for Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexican Army personnel detained an individual and seized a significant amount of weapons.

The results of the operation included the seizure of 50 magazines for MP-5 Cal. 9 mm machine guns. (short of supplies), 150 380 mm magazines and a bag with apparent detonating cables.

The detainee, along with the seized material, was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities. All actions were carried out with strict adherence to the rule of law and full respect for human rights, contributing to preserving freedoms, order, and public peace in Mexican society.
