The National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Foods Industry (Canirac), Yucatan delegation, anticipates a notable increase in its sales during the Christmas and end-of-year festivities. Historically, the sector has experienced increases of more than 35 percent compared to other times of the year.

The president of the Canirac Yucatán delegation, Claudia González Gongóra, highlighted that this year promises a period of growth for the restaurant industry, marking a gradual recovery after the challenges caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.

During the December holiday season and the end of the year, restaurateurs are immersed in developing promotional strategies and creating attractive packages to captivate diners.

These initiatives seek not only to increase sales but also to provide memorable gastronomic experiences to those tourists who choose to celebrate these dates in Yucatán.

The business leader added that the gastronomic industry has demonstrated resilience and adaptability, and is now ready to welcome customers during the holidays.

“After the challenges we faced as an industry during the pandemic, we are optimistic about the holiday season. Restaurateurs are working hard to offer memorable experiences, attractive promotions, and special packages that make the holiday celebrations unforgettable moments for our customers,” she said.

Claudia González emphasized that the safety and well-being of diners remains a priority, and in addition to the gastronomic diversity that characterizes Yucatán, consumers are expected to find options for all tastes and budgets.

“Restaurants participating in the holiday festivities will offer everything from special menus to themed events, to satisfy customer preferences and create unique gastronomic experiences,” she continued.

“Canirac invites the local community to enjoy the culinary proposals and celebrations that restaurants prepare for these special dates” Claudia González Gongóra concluded.
