Agents of the State Investigative Police (PEI) carried out procedures in the center of Mérida related to the case of the bagged and wrapped body that was found on the Molas-San José Tzal highway on Tuesday, November 7 in the morning.

As part of the investigation, on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 8, PEI agents intercepted a Nissan March vehicle, owned by a local media company, containing two men.

It was found out that the police were looking for one of them, who works as a photographer at the company that owns the vehicle.

Guarded by heavily armed elements and under the surveillance of Carlos Eduardo Flores Moo himself, undersecretary of the PEI, who patrolled the area aboard a gray car, the photographer was interrogated regarding some keys to his apartment that were in the possession of another person, who would have been arrested on Itzaes Avenue on Tuesday night and would be involved in the homicide.

It was found out that the photographer had indicated that he had contact with that person, who called him to borrow 200 pesos on Tuesday around 8:30 at night, without stating anything else.

However, after the interrogations, the photographer boarded the same vehicle and with him, a PEI commander boarded and they headed to the apartment located in a private area in Francisco de Montejo.

In that place, they would have detained another person, who would also be involved in the homicide of a male person who, according to unofficial sources, dressed as a woman and was a drug dealer on Itzaes Avenue.

The police did not arrest the photographer, but he would have been the link to find one of the probable perpetrators since he knew both them and the alleged victims from providing his photography service.

Until Wednesday night, the authorities had not reported on the results of the autopsy protocol, as the case continues to be handled with secrecy.
