Mérida, Yuc., November 7, 2023.- Tremendous road chaos arose on the morning of Tuesday November 7th, after the rollover of a closed box truck on the Peripheral Ring in the east of Mérida.
The spectacular accident occurred minutes before 7:00 a.m. at kilometer 23 of the aforementioned road, between Cottolengo and the Motul bridge, where for unknown reasons the driver of the heavy unit lost control of the steering wheel, causing it to would roll over onto its right side.
The Sigma food company truck ended up almost in the middle of the traffic stream, preventing the passage of vehicles passing through the place, causing great road chaos.
Given this, several uniformed officers from the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) had to intervene to speed up traffic.
Fortunately, the road accident only resulted in material damage.
A tow truck arrived to the area to put the truck on its four tires and remove it from the place.
