Brawl between fishermen in the Yucalpetén dock (Watch Video)

Once again, a conflict between fishermen occurred in the dock area of the sheltered port, which ended in a pitched fight between two individuals in front of other seafarers who were cheering them on.

This event took place, according to witnesses on social networks, in the so-called industrial zone of the port, that is, on the west side of the bridge that leads to Chelem. This area is practically unguarded, more so than what the private sector can offer.

During the fight, one of those present even shouts at the rioters: “Quickly, before the guards come!”, referring to private security, but apparently no guards showed up, since there were no arrests.

This year there have been few fights between fishermen, compared to past years, when practically every week a video of fights between fishermen in the port went viral, and even massive brawls have been recorded.

Although the surveillance that has been a little reinforced has reduced fights on the site, what has not been possible to control are the violent events on the boats, already on the high seas.

Just last September 3, the death of a fisherman of Campechano origin was reported, whose body appeared floating in the sea and it was learned that he was killed by one of his traveling companions.
