A painful and terrible tragedy occurred on Friday, November 4th, in the municipality of Halachó, when a six-year-old boy died after being hit by the reckless driver.
The events occurred last night, when Daniel “N”, 29 years old, was traveling in his motorcycle taxi on 20th Street, accompanied by his six-year-old son, and they parked for a moment to buy groceries,
The father, knowing that he would not be long, left his son sitting on the motorcycle as he entered the store, without thinking about what would happen.
At that moment, the driver of an Econoline van, identified as Félix “N”, 48 years old, was traveling on 19th Street. Turning without caution on 20th Street, he collided with a parked motorcycle taxi, causing the minor to fall to the pavement and run over.
The place became chaos, the desperate screams of the witnesses alerted the father who ran out of the store and experienced the worst moment of his life.
Without being able to believe it, she threw herself on the street crying and hugging the lifeless body of her little one.
Terrible scene in Halachó
After the tragedy, neighbors alerted the 911 emergency service, so paramedics arrived at the scene, but only confirmed that he no longer had vital signs.
When the minor’s mother arrived at the scene, she jumped over the security cordon, and upon seeing her son’s inert body, she simply vanished.
Elements of the Municipal and State Police also arrived at the scene waiting for the staff of the State Attorney General’s Office to begin legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, the driver who caused the tragedy was arrested at the scene and was later presented to the Public Ministry to answer for the child’s death.
