A Catholic priest and 21 tourists from the state of Campeche sent a message to Mexico from the hotel where they were staying in Israel.

According to the story of the priest, identified as Efraín Rosales, they are in Jerusalem, but in a hotel far from the war conflict.

The video was to point out that they are fine and in their hotel, and thus deny rumors that they were placed inside a bunker due to the bombings that have occurred in that country.

However, Efraín Rosales assured that the place does have a protection space, only in case an emergency arises that warrants bombing alarms.

The priest thanked the people of the Santa Cecilia de Campeche Parish for their concern, as well as the Mexican government and consulate who contacted them.

He reiterated that although there is danger at this time in Israel, the 22 Mexicans who make up the group are fine.

“Bless God, we are all fine, we appreciate the concern of the government, the consulate, and all of you who are worried and praying for us. We want them to know and not worry too much, there is danger, but we are fine.”

The priest urged people to pray for peace in Israel, after mentioning there is an atmosphere of pain and uncertainty derived from the conflict.

Later, in the audiovisual material, you can see the tourists from Campeche, who are all gathered in months at the restaurant in the hotel.

One of the tourists, who identified himself as Carlos Escamilla Sosa, head of the group, pointed out that they are attentive to the instructions of the Israeli authorities by all means, in addition to having supported them.

He thanked the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and the local operator for assisting the 22 tourists from Campeche, who reiterated to their families and friends that they were fine.

At the end of the video, you can see images of what would be the city of Jerusalem, and you can see people walking calmly through the streets.
