Next Sunday, October 15th, a cold front is expected to enter the Yucatán Peninsula, which will bring afternoon rains to almost the entire state. Additionally, a drop in temperatures is expected, with highs reaching up to 32 degrees and lows ranging from 17 to 19 degrees.
According to information from Civil Protection, the cold front is anticipated to start affecting the region from Sunday and extend until Tuesday. Therefore, the population is advised to stay alert to avoid any complications.
The first effects are expected to be felt on Sunday, October 15, with wind gusts between 40 and 50 kilometers per hour on the coast and 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the inland areas. Moderate to heavy afternoon rain is also expected in the northwest region, followed by the northeast, southwest, and southeast.
Port monitoring will be maintained, as waves of up to two meters in height could occur.
On Monday, October 16, the potential for afternoon rain will persist, with moderate to heavy rain in the northeast and southeast regions, and drizzle in the rest of the state.
It is on Tuesday, October 17, that a temperature drop is finally expected, which may continue for one more day and alleviate the intense heat experienced in recent weeks. Although not a significant drop, it can provide some relief as highs are expected to range from 28 to 32 degrees, while lows will be between 17 and 19 degrees.
So, enjoy the warm weather this weekend!
