MÉRIDA, Yucatán – Images disseminated through social networks show people drinking beer inside an ambulance belonging to the Izamal municipality in the municipality of Izamal, Yucatán.
In the images you can see some people wearing soccer team jerseys, as well as a blue cooler with cans of beer.
The individuals were captured by other passersby at the exit of the highway to Cancun, Quintana Roo, on the Periferico east of Merida.
Man responds with an obscene gesture
In one of the images, one of the individuals, wearing a white shirt and cap, is seen reacting to the camera with an obscene gesture, which annoyed social networks’ users.
So far, the mayor of Izamal, Warner May Escobar, has not issued a position on the matter. It should be noted that the ambulances were assigned to the municipalities by the State Government to be used in cases of emergency or to transport critically ill or injured patients.
