One more fatal accident on Mérida’s Periférico

A motorcyclist was hit by a car on Sunday, October 29 on Merida’s Periférico, at kilometer 46.

The man was riding a motorcycle on the  road but was suddenly hit by a car whose driver was speeding and did not respect the regulatory distance.

After the impact, the car was out of control and left the asphalt strip to the left, falling into the central ravine.

The driver suffered injuries and was treated by SSP paramedics who took him to a hospital. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist lost his life due to the serious accident.

The authorities cordoned off the area pending the first investigations by the State Prosecutor’s Office.
