The Mexican rhythmic gymnastics team traveled to Israel as part of a camp where they are fine-tuning details in preparation for their participation in Santiago 2023. A fundamental appointment in their aspirations to get a place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Coach Aguilar’s pupils are looking to make history by qualifying for the first time to a summer competition. Although it is difficult, Mexico has the best generation in its history, so the possibility is latent.

Unfortunately for their cause, given the outbreak of the war in Israel, which has left hundreds of civilians dead and wounded, the sports issue has taken a back seat and many have expressed their concern for the Mexican team.

The country’s authorities are already in contact with the team to coordinate their departure from Israeli territory. As the coach indicated, they are aware of the measures to be followed in case of emergency.
