“Hanal Pixán” began in Kanasín with a display of altars in the main park

Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez kicked off the festivities for “Hanal Pixán 2023” in this municipality, which began last Friday night with an exhibition of altars and the presentation of the folkloric group “Ecos del Mayab”.

Kanasín’s main park looked its best to receive the participants of the altars exhibition, which were visited one by one by the municipal president, who recognized the work and commitment of the participants. “Without a doubt, in Kanasín we have a lot of talent and this is the special occasion to show what is being done with our children and youth,” he said.

There were a total of four altars installed in the main park of the municipality: from the “Leandro Valle Martínez” school, the Municipal Public Services workers, the Yucatán Youth Guard and the COBAY of Kanasín.

Mayor Edwin Bojórquez, accompanied by his family, reiterated the importance of preserving “important traditions such as Hanal Pixán, and for this reason, the Paseo de las Ánimas took place in front of the municipal cemetery and then the procession marched all the way down to the Palacio de Kanasín.
