Gastronomic fairs will offer culinary delights in Merida

Do you have a plan for Friday, October 27, and Saturday, October 28? If not, put it on your agenda since a great family event awaits you where craving, flavor, and fun will be the protagonists of an anticipated and multifaceted festival in Plaza Paseo Canek, between Home Depot and Soriana, in the west of Merida.

Alberto Valle, director of Yucatán Foodie & Travel, announced at a press conference the details of the following events: the Chocolate and Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) Fair, the Antojo and Marquesita Festival, and the Day of the Dead Dog Festival, which will take place in the same place so that you can go together with the family to spend a weekend full of fun and a lot of flavor.

As part of the activities, there will be a costume contest for pets and another for dogs and their owners, which will have great prizes. Registration for the contest is free and will take place on the day of the event or through the Yucatán Foodie & Travel Facebook.

Among the varieties that are expected to be enjoyed, are the marquesitas with the traditional queso de bola accompanied by chocolate, strawberries, mini panes de muerte, M&M’s, marshmallows, and strawberries, among many other flavors. There will also be Asian food and waffles with different toppings such as strawberries, bananas, and M&M’s, among others. You can’t miss the tasty esquites and Dorilocos (Doritos with different ingredients) that will surely catch you.

However, the most anticipated of the day are the traditional pan de muerto and those filled with Philadelphia cheese, accompanied by their respective chocolate. So now you know, spend a family weekend and attend these three events this October 27 and 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
