Cancun stands out with 3 nominations at the World Travel Awards

For its natural beauty, the warmth of service, and great reception to national and international tourists, Cancun has been nominated in different categories in the 30th anniversary of the World Travel Awards, positioning it as one of the most important vacation destinations in the world, announced the Mayor, Ana Paty Peralta.

The Mayor emphasized that these nominations are thanks to the daily and joint work between authorities, private initiatives, and collaborators in the service industry, both to promote the tourism industry and to contribute to the conservation of the ecosystems, which are the main attractions of the city.

In this edition of the highest seal of excellence in the industry, Cancun will compete in the following categories:

• World’s Leading Beach Destination 2023.
• Leading urban destination in the world 2023
• World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Destination 2023.

In addition, Ana Paty Peralta informed that the city is the destination par excellence of the Mexican Caribbean and one of the most important worldwide, whose success is reflected in a seven percent growth in hotel infrastructure, compared to 2022; as well as a four percent increase in the number of hotel rooms compared to last year.
