Saul Hudson, better known as Slash, has announced his return to Mexico City as part of his The River Is Rising Tour.

The famous guitarist will perform with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, a band that the original member of Guns N’ Roses founded in 2012 and that has four studio albums to date.

It will be on January 23, 2024, when Slash will perform at the WTC Pepsi Center in the capital of the country, being the second time that the musician steps on this venue (the last occasion was in 2015). So far, the prices per section of the expected return of Slash’s alternative project are unknown, however, it is known that tickets will range between 830.00 pesos MXN and 2,050 pesos MXN with Ticketmaster service charges.

Slash will perform in Mexico City on January 23, 2024.

The Citibanamex pre-sale will take place on October 24 starting at 11:00 am (it is recommended to access the site at least one hour before), while the general sale will begin on October 25 at the same time.

The last time Slash performed with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators was in 2019 at the Domination festival, which had only one edition due to the pandemic. The show was highly criticized by the guitarist’s fans, as apparently the band seemed “forced” to perform as they failed to connect with the audience; even Myles Kennedy’s voice generated a lot of controversy, as after being considered one of the best rock vocalists currently, he ended up giving a performance that was far from explosive.

However, this new show at the WTC Pepsi Center is a great opportunity for the band to redeem itself before the Mexican public, because in addition to being able to present a show completely at their leisure, Slash released a new album with this project in 2022 titled 4, being the first time that the group presents this material in Mexico.

Regarding the setlist, Slash is not limited to playing songs from this project, but he has also delighted his audience with songs from his solo career and for the guitarist’s hardcore fans, Slash will play some songs from his project Slash’s Snakepit, with which he released two albums between 1995 and 2000.

Slash will review much of his solo catalog, with Slash’ Snakepit and with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

In his recent shows, Slash has even included songs by Elton John (Rocket Man) and Lenny Kravitz (Always On The Run). In his most recent concert held in Orlando, Hudson also debuted the song Starlight, which is a tribute to Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away in 2022 after an overdose of various substances.

This is the setlist that Mexicans could enjoy at the next concert of Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators:

  • Driving Rain
  • My Antidote
  • Shots Fired
  • Halo
  • Back From Cali
  • Spirit Love
  • The River Is Risin
  • Whatever Gets You By
  • Always on the Run (Lenny Kravitz cover)
  • Shadow Life
  • Starlight
  • Speed Parade
  • April Fool
  • Fill My World
  • The Path Less Followed
  • Doctor Alibi
  • Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going to Be a Long, Long Time)(Elton John cover)
  • Nothing to Say
  • You’re a Lie
  • World on Fire

Slash first teamed up with Myles Kennedy in 2010 on his solo album simply titled Slash. On this album, Kennedy performed the tracks Back From Cali and Starlight (in the company of Travis Barker).

The great reception of the album led the guitarist to give his first solo tour in Mexico with three sold out dates at the legendary Jose Cuervo Salon in Mexico City.

The success of the album was also decisive for Slash to start a new facet together with Myles that to this day has had excellent results.
