The head of the Ministry of Public Security, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, reported that the passage of Hurricane ‘Otis’ left a total of 27 dead and 4 missing in the state of Guerrero.
During the morning conference, the official indicated that they are awaiting more information.

The National Civil Protection Coordinator ( CNPC ) announced this Thursday the issuance of a declaration of Natural Disaster that covers six municipalities in the State of Guerrero.
This statement, which has been published in the Official Gazette of the Federation ( DOF ), is not related to the impacts of this week’s hurricane ‘Otis’, but rather to the damage caused by tropical storm ‘Max’, which affected the region from Monday, October 9 to 11.
The Declaration of Natural Disaster was requested by the Government of Guerrero from the federal government and authorized by the Damage Assessment Committee.
