A woman is injured multiple times with a knife for resisting a robbery in Parque de las Américas.
The terrible incident occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 24th, when the victim was near the corner of Colón Avenue and 21st Street, .
It was learned that a man caught up with her and attempted to steal her belongings, but when she resisted, he stabbed her multiple times.
The thief fled, and the woman was left severely wounded with serious bleeding, putting her life at risk.
Pedestrians passing by the area saw the woman lying on the ground and immediately alerted the authorities through the emergency number 911.
Rescue teams quickly arrived and attended to the injured woman, who was then transported to the Agustín O’Horán General Hospital.
At the site, located in the usually peaceful and quiet García Ginerés neighborhood, agents of the State Police Investigation (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security arrived.
Personnel from the Forensic Services of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) also joined the operation.
No further information about the victim of the brutal attack was provided, and her current health status is not known at this time. No arrests have been made in connection to this case.
