Vandals wreck and loot a “Va y ven” vending machine

An automatic vending machine of the Metropolitan System “Va y Ven” under the Chenkú pedestrian bridge in the Anillo Periférici, was practically destroyed after being vandalized and looted by criminals in the west of Mérida.

The robbery occurred early on Tuesday, September 26, when vandals destroyed the machine under the pedestrian bridge at kilometer 37 of that road.

The criminals destroyed the machine’s screen. Also, they looted the safe and the cards inside were left lying around, as well as pieces of the electrical device.

They also destroyed the surveillance camera, so the criminals and are not identified yet. State police authorities cordoned off the place and began the first investigations to find the people responsible for the felony.
