Ukraine attacked Crimea with missiles, hitting the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. The Russian Defense Ministry reported one missing person, and material damage and noted that anti-aircraft defenses shot down five missiles.
Sevastopol is the main base in Crimea, occupied since 2014. The missile attack was accompanied by an unprecedented cyber-attack against the annexed peninsula and followed a series of massive Russian attacks.
Meanwhile, in Cherkasy, a Ukrainian city located on the west bank of the Dnieper, about 160 km south of Kyiv, rescue teams have spent the night searching for possible survivors of a Russian bombing in a residential area.
And on the country’s southern front, Kyiv is putting increasing pressure on some points in the Zaporizhia region. Although Moscow does not recognize Ukrainian advances, neither in the south nor in the east of the country.
