

Merida, Yucatan, September 14, 2023.- The representatives of the LXIII Legislature toured the facilities of the Control, Command, Communications, Computing, Coordination and Intelligence Center C5i of Yucatan in order to learn about and reaffirm the coordinated work between Congress and the Secretary of Public Security to legislate on security matters for the benefit of the people of Yucatan.
In this regard, the president of the Board of Government and Political Coordination of Congress, Congressman Víctor Hugo Lozano Poveda thanked Commander Luis Felipe Saidén Ojeda, Secretary of Security, for his willingness to get to know in depth the space in which the state is kept under surveillance in order to preserve social peace.
During the tour of the facilities, which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and from where the video surveillance system is controlled, the deputies visited the space where calls are received in order to attend to the reports of the citizens of Yucatan and to be attended to in a timely manner.
Likewise, they visited the Control and Monitoring Room where they could see the function of the cameras that capture in real time the situations that perpetrate security and require the immediate attention of the security agents.
Later, in the Crisis Room, Saidén Ojeda presented a video in which she showed the legislators statistics related to incidents reported by citizens, including extortion calls.
It is worth mentioning that there are currently almost 7,000 high fidelity surveillance cameras, which positions the state with the highest number of them.
It also provides better service to society through improved technology and an increase in trained personnel to deal with emergencies.
Present at the ceremony were deputies Dafne López Osorio, Carmen González Martín, Karem Achach Ramírez, Melba Gamboa Ávila, Manuela Cocom Bolio, Alejandra Novelo Segura, coordinator of the Morena parliamentary faction, Rubí Be Chan and Fabiola Loeza Novelo. And the deputies, Víctor Hugo Lozano Poveda, president of the Junta de Gobierno y Coordinación Política, Erik Rihani González, president of the Mesa Directiva, Jesús Pérez Ballote, Raúl Romero Chel, Luis Fernández Vidal, Eduardo Sobrino Sierra, Crescencio Gutiérrez González and Rafael Echazarreta Torres.
