Police operation in the south of Merida after citizen tip of ‘space’ brownies on sale

Authorities are investigating minors for the sale of marijuana brownies in a residence located in Fraccionamiento del Sur.

The State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) and the State Attorney General’s Office conducted investigations at the home in the southern area of the city.

According to unofficial information provided by neighbors, there were minors residing in the property who were allegedly involved in the commercialization of chocolate brownies with marijuana.

In response to these accusations, PEI and FGE authorities carried out the collection of evidence in the house. During the intervention, one person was arrested for obstructing the work of the authorities.

In order to secure the area, SSP agents closed the streets adjacent to the place where the operation took place.
Once the relevant evidence was obtained, the police authorities left the place and went to another house in Colonia Maria Luisa, where they carried out a second operation related to the previous case.

The authorities continue with the corresponding investigations to clarify the facts and determine the responsibilities of those involved in the sale of the marijuana brownies, as well as their possible relationship with other individuals or networks of distribution of illicit substances.
