People from Campeche demand justice from governor Layda Sansores

The night of Tuesday, September 26, residents of Palizada, Campeche marched and protested to demand justice from governor Layda Sansores San Román (from Morena, president Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador party), for the disappearance of the a young  man, Irvin Alejandro Gutiérrez Ortega.

They also demanded results from the head of Public Security, Marcela Muñoz Martínez, and the prosecutor Renato Sales Heredia.

Inhabitants of diverse communities, creeds, and ways of thinking marched. They went to the entrance to Palizada, known as La Campechana. They demanded to clarify the disappearance of the young man since September 19, without any news of his whereabouts being given to date.

The march was along the entire main street, with banners shouting for justice and for Alejandro to appear, and showing solidarity with the Gutiérrez Ortega family. They passed through the Historic Center, continued on Zaragoza Street, and ended at the building of the Public Ministry and Ministerial Police Agency.

On the doors of said office, they posted banners with the legends “Alejandro Palizada is waiting for you”, “Alejandro is not just another (missing person)”, and “We demand the rapid intervention of the competent authorities so that he returns home”, among others.
