The head of the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM), Antonio González Blanco, announced that the third edition of its bazaar “Herencia Viva” will be held during the week of the Buen Fin, and pointed out that this date was chosen because, on average, most people have already received between 25 and 20 percent of their Christmas bonuses, and they hope that the campaign they started at the end of August to encourage the consumption of local products will be successful.
He specified that the artisans who wish to participate can register through the web page www.iyem.yucatan.gob.mx or directly at the Institute’s offices. The call closes on October 24 and during the first week of November the participants will be announced.
He added that the bazaar “Herencia viva” is getting better and better positioned in the taste of consumers, as they have had great success in its previous editions, the first held at Easter, sales were achieved up to 300 thousand pesos, while in the edition that took place in July, in a very active week for tourism, reached an economic revenue of more than 400 thousand pesos.
He pointed out that the interest of the artisans to participate has also increased, since they started with the participation of 35 exhibitors from different municipalities of the State, on the second occasion they had 60 and in this third edition they expect to exceed that figure, with which they also have great economic expectations.
“We hope once again that the economic benefit will be more than 400,000 pesos so that we can close the entire year with an income of more than one million, for the benefit of Yucatecan artisans,” said the head of IYEM.
González Blanco assured that they hope to close 2023 with more than five million pesos in direct purchases from artisans through “Herencia viva” and in all their events and stores.
He indicated that their goal is to reach more than 600 suppliers with “Herencia viva” purchases, through which they benefit people from more than 50 municipalities.
