Morelos Prosecutor’s Office detained “Tyson”, the pit bull that attacked a child

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) took Tyson, the pit bull dog that attacked and caused severe injuries to a five year old minor on Monday, September 11th, in the municipality of Jiutepec, Morelos, into custody.

Through a search warrant, elements of the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office entered a house located in the Otilio Montaño neighborhood of Jiutepec, from where the dog escaped and then assaulted the five-year-old boy Miguel.

On Tuesday night, the agency reported that Tyson was sedated and transferred to a shelter belonging to a civil association, where he will be safeguarded and will be provided with the corresponding care.

“This Tuesday, the Metropolitan Regional Prosecutor’s Office obtained from the jurisdictional body a search warrant at the home where the canine that allegedly caused the injuries would be, for its location and securing”, highlighted the official statement.
Finally, the agency stated that the animal was sedated and transferred by specialized personnel, and once it was taken into custody, police surveillance of the animal was established, and the Environmental Protection Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Morelos ( PROPAEM) would be notified while the rest of the investigations with the owners of the canine are being carried out.
