Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal was once again included in the list of “Mexico’s 300 Most Influential Leaders” for his trajectory and contributions to the state, according to a press release.

Vila Dosal was considered in the Magazine’s list, which brings together the most outstanding people in the country for their influence and leadership in their fields.

“The Yucatan governor has contributed with his policies to the development of Yucatan, an entity that stands out in the country in terms of security, economic growth, investment attraction and tourism,” it is stated.

In addition, he has been chosen for his work in Yucatan, since 2021 was the year with the highest economic growth in history and with the greatest generation of jobs.

In June 2023 the entity reached a new historical maximum of insured workers before the Mexican Institute of Social Security, while in May the highest salary in history was achieved, according to data from the same IMSS.

2022 was the year with the highest amount of foreign direct investment since records have been kept; it was also the safest year and the year with the lowest incidence of crime.

It was also the period with the greatest reduction in crime since records have been kept.

The year 2022 also saw an all-time high in the number of students enrolled in universities, as well as the highest number of women enrolled; the lowest illiteracy rate of all time since records have been kept in Yucatán, according to data from the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).

During Vila Dosal’s administration, the poverty index in Yucatan was reduced -10.7 points, which means that more than 236 thousand Yucatecans were lifted out of poverty.

This represents not only the social recovery of 164,000 people who fell into this situation during the pandemic, but 72,000 more people who were living in this condition before.

“This, thanks to the policies of this government in favor of those who have the least to improve their quality of life and reduce inequality, according to the measurement of Poverty 2022 of Coneval, with respect to 2020 results.”

“In his administration, the quarterly household income in Yucatan reached its highest historical level, going from 53,329 pesos in 2020 to 62,371 pesos in 2022; that is, an increase of more than 9,000 pesos, which represented a growth of 17% in that period, becoming the maximum increase in the history of the state.”

“Since the beginning of his mandate, Vila Dosal has carried out teamwork with Yucatecans that has resulted in the state becoming a magnet that attracts national and foreign investments, which generate thousands of quality jobs distributed in several municipalities and with salaries that improve the economy of families and reactivate local economies.”
