Two armed men robbed a store and robbed the employee five times.

The robbery took place around 9:00 p.m., when the employee was closing the Macropay cellular phone store located on 67th Street between 58th and 60th Streets, where two men entered.

While inside, the individuals armed with a knife made the manager pull down the metal curtains.

The criminals left with cellphones and equipment, and on their way out, they stabbed the manager five times.

The employee called 911 and reported what had happened.

Immediately paramedics from the Merida Municipal Police and the SSP arrived to assist the worker and took him to the IMSS T-1 hospital.

The place was cordoned off by municipal police agents and they carried out an operation together with the state police to find the assailants, who are said to have been identified by security cameras.

The State Attorney General’s Office was in charge of the investigation at the scene of the robbery.
