Three projects were announced on Thursday, August 3rd, by the mayor of Tizimin, Pedro Couoh Suaste, during the inauguration of streets, electrification, and the expansion of the drinking water network in the south of this city.

It was in the San Francisco neighborhood, better known as “Pelusa”, where municipal authorities arrived to tell the citizens about the changes that are coming in Tizimín.

Residents of the area left their homes to listen to the message of the mayor, who took the opportunity to announce that in a week they will present details of the new animal care center that will be built in this head. He also said that the 48th Street playground, which he inaugurated in his first administration, will be rebuilt.

The infrastructure in that park is just useless since it had no maintenance for the last 17 years, so the mayor gave instructions to remove everything and rebuilt the whole thing.

According to Couoh Suaste, the project will be presented next week and will be open to the public immediately.

Housing project for the people of Tizimin

Pedro Couoh Suaste recalled that during his political campaign, he promised that the people of Tizimin who did not own a house will be able to acquire land at a good price and in monthly payments.

“Before the end ot the month we will be announcing the scheme of how people will be able to acquire land in this same area, with all the legal guarantees,” the mayor declared.

He specified that this program aims at those who do not own a house or land and are willing to pay “little by little”.
