Thousands of pesos in damages was the result from a collision of one trailer against another on the Mérida-Valladolid highway, at kilometer 50. Despite the serious accident, no one was injured.
The accident occurred at around 5 a.m. this Saturday, when a blue trailer loaded with dairy products was passing on the road to Valladolid.
The driver dozed off for a few seconds and without control he went against the back of the double trailer of another trailer that was parked. The crashing woke him up, so he maneuvered defensively.
In this way, the dairy trailer advanced several more meters until it stopped, it is not known if because the operator managed to stop, or because the vehicle could no longer advance, since the front of the vehicle was destroyed.
The place was filled with police officers, elements of the National Guard, as well as fellow drivers of those involved, in order to provide help and request the intervention of insurers.
All morning a road operation was carried out by the authorities, since the work to empty the trailers lasted several hours.
