Tourists surprised by crocodile in Yucatan port

Tourists who were on the coast of Yucatan were amazed and alarmed by the presence of a crocodile near them.

The incident occurred in Telchac Puerto, when several people were swimming in the beach area in front of the Reef hotel.

According to reports, teacher Joel K.G. noticed from a bridge that a large reptile was approaching bathers on the coast, so he quickly alerted them to get out of the water.

The visitors quickly left the beach and were able to see the crocodile swimming in the area.

It’s worth noting that these kinds of sightings are becoming more common, as local fishermen reported that a few days ago, a crocodile ate a stray dog.

Given the presence of the reptile and the incident with the dog, there is growing concern about potential attacks on humans. Authorities have been notified to stay vigilant.

In addition to these reports, authorities have allegedly not yet taken official notice of these incidents, so residents are being urged to be cautious when entering the beach.

On another note, there have been reports of crocodile sightings in the swamp area of Progreso, causing fear among people living in the invasion zone of the port.

Furthermore, residents of Chicxulub Puerto, a district of Progreso, have reported crocodile sightings and are staying alert for any reptile activity.
