A few days ago, an incident occurred where a thief attempting to rob a Tere Cazola branch in Campeche was locked inside by the employee in charge.
For this reason, the company released a statement through social media expressing gratitude for the concern shown by people regarding the incident.
“We wish to convey our most sincere gratitude for the remarkable display of concern and support we have received following the incident at our Campeche branch. We are pleased to report that our collaborator is safe and fortunately, the consequences of the situation have not been severe.”
Of course, the statement also highlighted the heroic actions of Fabiola Ballester, the young woman featured in the video, who had the courage to quickly react to the intense situation.
“We recognize and admire with deep respect her bravery and dedication, and as a token of gratitude, we have decided to award her recognition for her exceptional commitment. Rest assured that her actions have not gone unnoticed, and we deeply appreciate them.”
The company also emphasized how important the safety of each of their employees is to them.
“We take this opportunity to emphasize the importance of prioritizing the safety and well-being of all. It is always preferable to take precautionary measures and contact the relevant authorities.”
“Nothing is more valuable than the security of each individual in our community,” the statement concluded.
The video of the incident shows how the perpetrator approached the counter to rob it, never imagining that his plan would be thwarted by the young woman in charge of the establishment. While the individual was emptying the contents, Fabiola slowly “slid” towards the door and quickly lowered the shutter.
Realizing he was cornered inside the store, the individual began pleading for help from “his mommy.”
In the end, he found a window through which he could escape, but the police apprehended him a few meters from the store.

In the comments section, hundreds of people remarked that the young woman at the very least deserves a well-paid vacation after the scare. Others noted that this incident could serve as a great example to train all employees in self-defense, as one never knows what might happen.
