The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has initiated an investigation into the events that occurred last weekend at Mérida Airport, where an alleged abuse against a minor was reported. A person has already been detained in connection with the incident.
The complaint filed by the minor’s mother was received by this department, where it is being closely followed up. This has led to the opening of the corresponding case to clarify what happened.
According to the initial version of events, the incident took place in the airport restroom, where the accused allegedly exposed himself naked to the minor.
In response to the incident and in collaboration with airport authorities, the person involved was arrested, leading to an inquiry to determine the legal status of the accused.
