Man is shot in the head in a Cancun flea market

Merchants from a street market and residents of the Paseos del Mar subdivision, region 251, witnessed how armed subjects attacked a man who was near his home with his wife and son, the shooters ran away.

The attack occurred on the corner of Islas Galápagos and Islas Haiti avenues, in the aforementioned housing unit, when two men carrying firearms walked between the stalls and finally reached the sidewalk where the victim was standing, shooting him directly in the head, witnesses assure that four detonations were heard, and then the armed men ran off in different directions.

Among the chaos, some managed to call the 911 emergency number, mentioning that there was a person injured by a firearm. Upon arrival, paramedics assessed the man who was transferred to the Jesús Kumate Rodríguez Hospital, where his state of health is reported as serious.

The municipal authorities carried out a search operation in the area to try to find the whereabouts of those responsible, but they managed to flee, and absolutely no detentions were made in relation with this crime.
