Dog causes pregnant woman to end up hospitalized in Ticul, Yucatán

A pregnant woman was injured after falling from a mototaxi that overturned after hitting a dog in the municipality of Ticul.

The incident occurred this Thursday in the Santiago neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality when the mototaxi driver was traveling on Calle 35, carrying a pregnant woman as a passenger.

Between streets 24 and 26, a dog started chasing the vehicle and attacked it, but was accidentally run over.

Due to the abrupt movement, the driver lost control of the handlebars and overturned the vehicle.

After the dramatic accident, the passenger suffered bruises, scrapes, and abdominal pain. Due to her pregnancy, she was urgently transported to the Maternal and Child Center for specialized care.

Meanwhile, Municipal police officers documented the traffic accident and attempted to identify the dog’s owner, but as usual, the owner never appeared.

The current health condition of the pregnant woman is unknown.
