This Thursday, Mark Margolis, the actor who portrayed the unforgettable and fearsome Héctor Salamanca, the villain from “Breaking Bad,” passed away at the age of 83.
This information was provided by his son, Morgan, who added that he died at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York after a period of illness, and that his funeral will be private.
Margolis appeared in films such as “Requiem for a Dream” and “Black Swan,” but it was his portrayal as the mortal enemy of Gus Fring and Walter White, as well as his reappearance in “Better Call Saul,” that secured his place in pop culture.
