A roof collapses in a downtown store in Mérida

This Monday morning there was a collapse in a clothing store in the center of Mérida, which mobilized police officers and firefighters. The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. at the Caruso store.

According to witnesses, workers were at the site doing remodeling work when the roof collapsed. Luckily there were not any injured.

After carrying out the rigorous work, the firefighters withdrew from the site. Likewise, Civil Protection personnel arrived, who took data on what happened and placed red ribbons on the entrance curtain. So far there is no further information on how the incident occurred. In addition, it is unknown how long the business will be closed for work.

It should be noted that in 2020 the same store branch suffered a similar collapse.
