Venezuelan citizen reported missing found in downtown Mérida

A Venezuelan citizen reported as missing through the media by relatives, was located on Sunday, July 16th, by agents of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) attached to the State Investigation Police (PEI) in coordination with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the State (FGE).

Carlos Eduardo S.B., 28, told the agents that on Wednesday, July 12th, he arrived in Mérida from Cancún looking for a job, but his belongings and passport were stolen when he left the bus terminal in downtown Cancún.

But, according to the police report, the Venezuelan national was found wandering the streets and begging for change.

He was transferred to the SSP building to provide him with support and to be able to locate his relatives.
