Two enormous boas caught in Yucatán; one was about to eat up a turkey

The presence of snakes in municipalities in Yucatán continues due to the rainy season, as two enormous boas were recently reported, causing fear among residents of two localities.

One incident occurred in the community of Dzununcán in the municipality of Motul, where a boa approximately 2 meters long and weighing 10 kilograms was captured. Neighbors managed to capture it and placed it in a container before notifying the authorities to return it to its natural habitat.

Another case was reported on Facebook by a resident of the locality of Seyé, after a boa appeared in her poultry cage at home. The resident reported that the boa, which was over one meter long, was inside her house and was captured and placed in a container as well.

She stated that the snake was not killed; however, she was seeking someone to take care of it and remove it from her property after being frightened by the reptile.
