The residents of Flamboyanes were surprised by the arrival of multiple official units from the Yucatan State Police (SSP Yucatán) and the Directorate of Public Safety and Transit to conduct an operation.

The reason was the discovery of a car in the first residential section, a white Nissan “Sentra” with the economic number 6882 and license plates A-667-YSG.

It was found that the driver was trapped in the trunk without any signs of physical harm, dismissing the alleged death that was already circulating on social media.

Part of the investigative work was also carried out by the state investigative police, as it was deduced that the origin of this crime occurred in the city of Mérida.

The taxi was allegedly boarded in the “Real Montejo” residential area located in Dzitya, and just ten minutes after starting the journey towards the north of the Yucatan capital, the two individuals took full control of the vehicle.

The Flamboyanes police station was the point of their arrival. The taxi driver had his cellphone and was able to call 911 to request assistance, leading to the rapid arrival of police units to resolve the case.

As expected, the authorities involved in the case maintained complete secrecy, especially regarding the taxi driver who ended up trapped in the trunk. However, it was rumored that the driver would file a complaint in order to prosecute those involved.
