Private plane stolen from Mexico City International Airport (AICM)

A British Aerospace BAe 800A series private plane was stolen from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM).

The aircraft had been parked in the hangars since 2022, and its owner realized it was missing when they tried to prepare it for a flight.

The plane is said to have been brought from Chiapas, and the Attorney General’s Office is already investigating the incident.

Denial of private plane theft

The private plane that was reported stolen from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) is insured by the Attorney General’s Office, as informed by Joaquín López-Dóriga.

According to reports from various national media, the aircraft, a British Aerospace BAe 800A series, disappeared from the hangars, where it had been parked since 2022 after being brought from Chiapas.

On the other hand, the AICM stated that they have not received any “official communication from judicial or ministerial authorities, allowing them to know the legal situation of the aircraft.”

They added that the plane is not in the leased hangars and they are unaware of whether it is in the custody of any authority.
