A man, approximately 30 years old, was found dead by a municipal police officers on the early morning hours of Monday, July 3rd, on Mérida’s Periférico. The cause of the motorcyclist’s death is currently unknown.
The incident occurred at kilometer 24 of the mentioned road, in front of Vidrios Millet. Units from the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP) arrived at the scene to secure the area while agents from the Policía Estatal de Investigación (PEI) conducted the corresponding investigation.
The Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) was responsible for the removal of the body, and the motorcycle was taken away by an SSP tow truck to be transported to the impound lot.
